Part 2 ~ GOMA

To continue on from Part 1 ~ Hello Korea!

On July 10 we also visited GOMA  (Gallery of Modern Art)
at South Brisbane

As part of 'Harvest' exhibition we saw

My Auntie used to work at The Big Pineapple

I remember visiting with my family when I was little

How cute are all the pineapples?

Other art pieces we saw. . .

Plastic inflatable balls artistically covered with black cord
and attached to the walls and floor

It was very cool

There were 4 balls in this hallway

Made from Corned Beef tin cans

There were 2 long wood panels with various wording painted on them

Two of our children checking out the 'Supermarket'

At a distance we thought there was a spiral of LED lights

At closer inspection it was cutlery and dried chillies

It was Beautiful

Still life: Coconut and other things 2009

by Sirous Shaghaghi, Iran

This was a very large, realistic painting

It was Stunning!

Next we saw. . .

in the Children's Art Centre

 Above the 'Kaleidoscopic Tessellations'

I love the unique lighting!

This is 'Harlequin Hallway'

an interactive multimedia experience

 Here I am

We started getting hungry and walked over the bridge to the city

One of the beautiful gardens in the Queen St Mall

Does anyone know what the white flowering plant is?

It is pretty!

On the walk to our favourite Korean restaurant

I love the wave pattern on the building

Galbijim

A spicy beef soup with mushrooms, carrot, potatoes
and sweet potato noodles served with rice

A delicious meal to warm the soul on a cold, windy day
